Euro Debt Crisis: European Government Debt vs GDP (1995 – 2011)

The European Sovereign Debt Crisis started in 2008/9, but is still affecting the European and world economy today in 2012. This infographic shows the sovereign (government) debts as a percentage of GDP (gross domestic product) of the countries in the Eurozone. The data spans 1995 to 2011, and is taken from Eurostat – the European statistics agency.
